FAQ
1. How can I join the SE program and what should I prepare?
- Prepare Hardware: Ensure you have a compatible GPU card from the supported list (Supported GPU Models) and 4 to 8 NVMe drives.
- Sign Up: Sign up for a trial by creating an account with your email. Please note that one user account is restricted to a single subscription, machine and GPU. Cross-device usage is not supported..
- Installation: Follow the instructions in the Quickstart Guide or User Guide to prepare your environment and install the SE driver and set up the RAID.
2. What form factor of NVMe drives can I use with SupremeRAID™ SE?
- SupremeRAID™ SE supports all form factors of NVMe drives, including M.2, U.2, U.3, EDSFF, and AIC.
3. Is there a performance difference between Quadro/RTX and GTX series cards?
- Performance Advantage: Quadro/RTX cards support larger BAR1 memory, enabling direct communication between the GPU and NVMe drives. This significantly benefits performance, especially in Linux environments.
4. Does the SupremeRAID™ SE driver support system suspension or hibernation?
- System suspension and hibernation are currently unsupported due to a limitation in the NVIDIA driver. Please ensure that the machine does not enter suspension or hibernation mode.
5. My GPU usage shows 100%, will that impact my other applications?
- The usage was caused by SupremeRAID™ checking the O.S IO queue. It didn't actually consume the GPU computation, thus there is no impact to the applications that use GPU.
- We at Graid Technology do recommend users to avoid storing any important data in the Beta build. Since we are still in the Beta stage, data integrity cannot be guaranteed, and potential issues may arise.
7. What will happen to my data once the subscription is terminated?
- When the subscription model is implemented, terminating your subscription will not result in the loss of your data. Instead, your data will become read-only, ensuring you retain access to it even if you do not continue with the subscription with Graid Technology.
8. Does SupremeRAID™ SE support cross-device usage?
- Each user account is bound to a single subscription, machine and GPU. Cross-device usage is currently not supported.
9. What should I do if I want to switch to another SupremeRAID™ product after using the SupremeRAID™ SE ?
- Currently, the SupremeRAID™ SE does not support cross-product data migration. If you wish to use another SupremeRAID™ products, please export your data from the SupremeRAID™ SE beforehand. Please note that once another product is installed, you will not be able to revert to the previous product configuration.
10. Can I upgrade my subscription plan from Standard to Premium?
- The upgrade feature is not yet available, but it will be gradually rolled out in the future. If you wish to upgrade your plan to support more physical drives, please contact us.
11. Can a single user account subscribe to more than one plan?
- Currently, each user account is limited to a single subscription plan.
12. What should I do if my GPU becomes faulty and needs to be replaced during the subscription period?
